Bulk Geotag iPhone Photos (HEIC) — Free Online

Add GPS coordinates to hundreds of iPhone HEIC and JPEG photos at once. Geo-Tag-It is one of the only browser tools that bulk geotags HEIC natively — no Apple Photos export, no conversion dance.

Supports: HEIC & JPEG • Native HEIC support — no conversion step required.

How to Bulk Geotag iPhone Photos

    1. 1

      AirDrop or export from Photos

Send your photos from iPhone to Mac/PC, or export originals from Apple Photos. Keep them as HEIC — no need to convert.

    2. 2

      Drag the folder into Geo-Tag-It

Switch to Bulk mode and drop your HEIC photos. Files are decoded in-browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.

    3. 3

      Pick the shoot location

Use the interactive map or load a GPX track if you walked between spots.

    4. 4

      Process & download

GPS is written into EXIF and HEIC is converted to JPEG in a single pass. Download as one ZIP.

    Built for iPhone Shooters

Native iPhone HEIC support — no manual conversion
Preserves Apple Live Photo originals (still frame is geotagged)
Strips nothing — all existing EXIF is kept intact
Works with Photos exports, AirDrop folders, and iCloud downloads
Bulk geotag iPhone photos with one shoot location or a GPX track
Outputs JPEG so geotagged photos work everywhere (Lightroom, Google Photos, MLS)

Why iPhone Shooters Geotag in Post

    Native GPS is unreliable

iPhone bodies depend on phone-paired GPS logging that frequently disconnects, drains battery, or simply isn't enabled.

    Fix entire archives at once

Bulk geotag retroactively — apply a single shoot location to a wedding, or sync a GPX to a travel set.

    Zero quality loss

GPS is written into EXIF only. Image pixels are byte-for-byte untouched, so client deliverables stay pristine.

    iPhone Bulk Geotagging FAQ

Why don't my iPhone photos have GPS already?

Location Services may be off for the Camera app, photos may have been AirDropped (which strips GPS by default for privacy), or they were exported as "Most Compatible" from Photos. Bulk geotagging adds the coordinates back.

Do I need to convert HEIC to JPEG before geotagging?

No. Geo-Tag-It is one of the only bulk geotagging tools that handles HEIC natively. It geotags and converts in a single step.

Will geotagging affect my Live Photos?

The still image frame is geotagged. The motion component (.mov) is preserved if you keep it alongside the .heic file.

Can I bulk geotag iPhone photos for free?

Yes. Free users can geotag up to 25 iPhone photos per session. Pro ($5/mo) unlocks unlimited bulk batches.
