When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication data necessary to provide our services.
We collect information about how you use Geo-Tag-It, including geotagging history, processing statistics, and feature usage to improve our service.
We temporarily process your uploaded images to add GPS coordinates, view or remove EXIF metadata, or resize images. Images are automatically deleted after processing and are never stored permanently on our servers. When you upload HEIC/HEIF images, they are converted to JPEG format on your device before processing.
When you use our address search or geotagging features, the addresses and coordinates you enter are used to process your images. If you use the Saved Locations feature, your saved location names, addresses, and coordinates are stored in your account for future use.

When you search for an address or use our location features, your search queries are sent to the Nominatim geocoding service, which is powered by OpenStreetMap. This is necessary to convert addresses into GPS coordinates and vice versa. Nominatim's usage is subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
We use Supabase for user authentication and secure data storage, including your account information, geotagging history, and saved locations.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information on our servers. Stripe's data handling is subject to the Stripe Privacy Policy.
All image processing happens securely. Your images are encrypted during transmission and processing, then automatically deleted after processing is complete. HEIC/HEIF to JPEG conversion occurs entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers in its original format.
Your account information is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except:
• To trusted service providers who assist in operating our service (Supabase for data storage, Stripe for payments, Nominatim/OpenStreetMap for geocoding)
• When required by law or to protect our rights
• With your explicit consent
You have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data, including saved locations and geotagging history
• Export your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
We use essential cookies for authentication and service functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
• Account data: Retained until account deletion
• Saved locations: Retained until individually deleted or account deletion
• Usage history: Retained for service improvement and user benefit
• Uploaded images: Automatically deleted after processing (within 24 hours)
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
